Hey there! I'm Kersey, and I'm so excited to connect with you. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree in English from Cebu Technological University, and there's truly nothing more rewarding than witnessing the "aha!" moment when someone grasps a new concept. That feeling fuels my passion for teaching!

Beyond the classroom, I'm a vibrant and multifaceted individual. My free time is filled with a variety of activities – from the energetic movements of dancing and the thrill of arnis and volleyball to the quieter pleasures of reading, drawing, and exploring new interests. I have a wide appreciation for diverse genres, whether it's losing myself in a fantasy novel, getting swept away by a romantic anime, solving mysteries in a gripping thriller, or enjoying the diverse soundscapes of various musical genres. This eclectic mix of interests allows me to bring a fresh and engaging perspective to my lessons.

I can be playful and silly when the moment calls for it, but I also know the importance of focus and calm, adapting my teaching style to meet the needs of each student and situation. My experience primarily lies with junior high and high school students, which allows me to connect with them on a deeper level, understanding their specific challenges and learning styles. However, I'm always eager to take on new challenges and work with learners of all ages and backgrounds.

My ultimate goal is to empower my students to speak English confidently and effectively. This means working with them to improve pronunciation, expand their vocabulary, and master all the essential aspects of the language, from grammar to comprehension. I strive to create a learning environment that's both fun and accessible, guiding my students toward their individual goals with patience, encouragement, and a healthy dose of creativity.
