Hello! My name is Teacher Denrie, an undergraduate Communication Arts student at the University of the Philippines in Cebu. From 2018 to 2019, I taught English at an ESL company in Cebu.
I experienced teaching students from Asia (Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, etc.) and South America (Brazilian, Colombian, Peruvian, etc.)
What do you like? I enjoy karaoke! I sing with all my heart and release stress through it. Do you do the same? I write poems and short stories in my spare time, sometimes to entertain myself but more often to express myself. In addition to that, I enjoy watching horror and thriller movies because I like the adrenaline rush they give me. I also watch anime and read manga and manhwa in my free time.
Do you read books? I read different kinds of books, but I especially like Paulo Coelho’s books about life, faith, and love because it’s as if his words take me to a world different from my own. This world can only exist in my imagination!
What book takes you to that world? I really want to know. In my class, we will ensure that we meet our goal in our lesson and simultaneously have fun and learn about new things together!
