Verilyn

Hi there! My name is Verilyn, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education. I've been teaching English as a Second Language for a while now, working with students of all ages and different proficiency levels. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping learners build their confidence as they improve their English skills. I've taught many Japanese students, and I’ve really come to appreciate and enjoy Japanese culture—it’s one of the things that makes teaching so exciting for me.

In my classes, I focus on making lessons both fun and meaningful. I always strive to create a warm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable to speak, ask questions, and make mistakes without fear. I’m a patient and understanding teacher, and I make sure to explain things clearly and effectively to help you understand and remember what you learn.

My students often describe me as approachable, friendly, and dependable. I take your learning seriously, and I’m committed to helping you achieve your goals at a pace that works for you. I use engaging activities, real-life examples, and a positive attitude to keep lessons enjoyable and productive. Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing volleyball, singing pop songs, and watching action movies—which help keep my energy up and my classes lively.
