Hello! My name is Diane D. Dakay. Please call me Yannie. I graduated with a Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in Special Education. I had a very simple and happy childhood. I am open-minded, patient and supportive towards other people especially towards children or those who suffer from disabilities. I also enjoy meeting new people and finding ways to help them have uplifting experiences. In my high school years, I went through phases of thinking about what I career I wanted, but nothing ever felt quite right. I always love the idea of being a director as well as a writer because I really love watching movies. Becoming a teacher taught me how to be patient. It taught me how to come out of my shell. My hobbies and interests include badminton, dancing, watching movies and Internet surfing. I also like drinking coffee as well as those frozen juices. My favorite movies are the followings: "A walk to remember", "Every child is special", "Bokura Ga Ita" and "A moment to remember". I'm starting to love teaching because it taught me that life is like discovering the likes and the dislikes of the students, the talents that they have. Also, it gives me an opportunity to touch lives of others in a special way. Teaching is my way of helping those students who are in needs because I believe that each one of us has our own capability and talent that can be nurtured. I want to help my students to be motivated and be inspired.
