英検準2級のライティングには2つの形式があります。

特に2024年度の英検から「メールの返信」を書く問題が出題されました。それぞれ与えられた条件にしたがって書く必要がありますので、まずは問われる内容と「適切な型」を知っておきましょう。

英検準2級の意見文ライティングで使える表現
意見を述べるとき：
- I think that ～.（～だと思います）
- I believe that ～.（～と信じています）
理由を述べるとき：
- First, ～.
- Second, ～.
- This is because ～.
具体例を加えるとき：
- For example, ～.
- For instance, ～.
まとめの表現：
- For these reasons, I believe that ～.

練習問題（意見文）
以下のトピックについて、「Yes / No」を決め、I think ～で始めましょう。構成は「自分の意見＋理由2つ＋まとめ」で書いてみましょう。

【２】メール返信ライティングの対策
出題形式の概要
- 友達からの英語メールが与えられる
- そのメールに対して返信メールを英語で書く
- 語数目安は40〜50語
- メール本文の下線部に関する質問を2つする必要がある
- メールの最後で聞かれる質問に答える必要がある。
英検準2級のメール返信で使える表現
リアクション：
- That sounds interesting / fun. （それは面白そう/楽しそうだね。）
- That sounds exciting.（それはワクワクしそうですね。）
- It must be fantastic.（素晴らしいに違いない！）
質問をする（下線部について）：
- What is ～ like?
- When did you ～?
- Where is ～?
いつ、誰と、どこで、何を、なぜ、どのような様子？何が有名ですか？など5W1Hで考えると質問の内容が思いつきやすいですね。
しめの言葉：
以下の文章は全て「あなたのお返事を待っています。」という意味になります。
